Acknowledgements
It’s publishing tradition to call the section at the end of a book, in which authors thank everyone, ‘Acknowledgements’. However, acknowledgement is too weak a word to express the emotions we feel as we reflect back on all those who were part of this undertaking. Gratitude is so much better. It captures the spirit of how thankful and appreciative we are to the very talented, hardworking and uplifting people with whom we collaborated on this project. They encouraged, supported, coached, enlightened and enabled us so that we could get to this place. First on the list are the many people we interviewed who contributed to our understanding of leadership in Australia and New Zealand. Many are mentioned by name in the text and others are not, but we wholeheartedly thank each and every one of these individuals for sharing their experiences and insights:
