Tuileries, Opéra & Montmartre

Family Guide
Originally built as a fortress, the captivating Musée du Louvre is now the world’s biggest museum. Once the home of French kings, it stretches out along the river next to the lovely Jardin des Tuileries, and opposite the Palais Royal, the epicentre of the Revolution. North of here lie more museums, plus the shopping paradise of the splendid Grand Boulevards, and Montmartre, the original home of modern art.
