As of this writing, a great reference for switching from DAO to ADO is a white paper put out by Microsoft titled “Migrating from DAO to ADO.” This paper can be found on the CD-ROM in the \Examples\Chap06 folder, and the filename is DAOToADO.Doc.

This edition of Microsoft Access 2000 Power Programming is written so that the transition of moving from DAO to ADO as painless as possible. Was everything rewritten on a one-to-one basis? No, that would make this book twice as big, and the publisher wouldn't appreciate that. What I've tried to do is take some topics that make sense to convert totally over to ADO, and do that.
