It doesn’t take long to realize that photos and videos catch attention in your news feed more than simple text updates do. Because pictures stand out, they have a better chance of encouraging interaction (such as a Like, comment, or share). The more an individual interacts with your content, the more Facebook thinks that person wants to see your updates, and the more your updates appear in his or her news feed.
