In today’s charged political climate, it’s inevitable that you’ll come across political content on Facebook, whether from strangers or friends. You don’t need to engage with this content; you can simply ignore it or adjust your News Feed settings to see less of it. However, if you want to exercise your political muscles, Facebook offers many ways to get involved, from understanding your voting rights to sending your local representative a message. In this chapter, we go over some ways you can be politically active on Facebook and provide recommendations for avoiding conflict with those who hold different views.
