Don’t agree to something that’s impossible
If you want to run a fast project then the first thing that you definitely don’t want to do is commit to something – a deadline, a budget, a target – that is completely impossible. The lesson of this first chapter is very simple: don’t agree to anything until you’ve had a chance to look at it.
