Scoping and planning a project in a day
Why do it?
Projects can take a long time to get started. There is some kind of initial idea which gets worked up into a proposal which is then reviewed and updated a number of times until finally all of the stakeholders are happy. Then somebody works up a plan. This is also reviewed and updated a number of times; the proposal is probably modified again until eventually the final proposal and plan are ready. The process can take months – years, in some cases.
