Accepting Responsibility
Responsibility is closely akin to accountability. Taking responsibility is your willingness to step forward and assume the obligation for a task, a set of tasks, or even a full team.
If you’re afraid you’ll take the blame for problems, you may not let any responsibilities out of your sight. But to move more quickly, you may need to spread some of your responsibilities among your team members. Sharing the wealth becomes a primary tool for accomplishing your team’s responsibilities. You don’t want to hover; however, you do need to ensure the work is accomplished according to certain standards.
