FOREWORD
The idea of enterprise architecture has been around for a lot of years. I have written 58 articles and a book on the subject myself. The first article I wrote was in 1982, when I discovered my framework graphic appearing in a copyrighted company document and it dawned on me that I needed to write something that I could copyright to preserve my own ability to work on my own framework. That article was written in 1982, published internally at IBM in 1984, and then in the IBM Systems Journal in 1987.
