3.3 Strategic/Capability Viewpoint

The Strategic/Capability Viewpoint is useful primarily to enterprise planners who have a longer window of planning than simply dealing with tactical battles and support of current operations. For example, in the federal government, this planning window must extend to at least five years and the strategic plan must be revised at least once in three years. The Strategic/Capability Viewpoint provides the context for laying out projects and initiatives that are consistent with the goals and objectives of the enterprise.
