THERE IS AN ADAGE THAT you write what you know. For many writers, another truth is that you write about what you need to know. This book is both for me. The heart of Fearless and Free had marinated in my head for years as I pivoted from one job to the next, often struggling with how to shape my story, showcase my varied skills, and shoehorn into the positions that I wanted.
