The magnitude of an input signal of a given frequency will either be am-
plified or attenuated by the system, depending on whether the magnitude
of G() at that frequency is greater than or less than 0 dB on the Bode
magnitude plot. Harmo nics of the input signal with frequencies close to
the natural fr equency will be most strongly amplified.
The steady state response of the system, i.e. its response to constant
input signals, is given by the values of the magnitude and phase on the
extreme left of the Bode plot.
