7.4.3 CORE-Net: A network growth algorithm using pref-
erential attachment
Similarly to MAX-PARSE, the CORE-Net algorithm is based on the formu-
lation of the networ k inference problem as a convex optimisation problem in
the form of LMIs . However, the latter adopts a different heuristic to recon-
struct the network topology: it uses a n incremental reconstruction approach,
starting with an empty network (no edges) and then iteratively adding new
edges at each iteration.
