Demonstration: Foreshortened Female

Poses in extreme foreshortening are probably the most difficult ones to do. But remember, foreshortening and perspective are always at play, even in drawings that appear to be relatively simple. By the same token, almost any drawing will present a figure with at least one body part drawn at full length, parallel to the picture plane. These limbs, when drawn clearly, can be leveraged to establish the contrasting direction of the foreshortened body parts and to establish their relative sizes.
