Chapter 7. Other Layout Objects
Chapter 5, “Layout Tools,” discussed layout objects in general, and Chapter 6, “Charting,” discussed one particular object, the chart object, in detail. This chapter focuses on three additional layout objects—namely portals, tab controls, and Web Viewers—each of which has specialized uses and attributes. These tools are among the most useful in a FileMaker developer’s toolbox.
As you can see in Figure 7.1, you can find all three tools in the Status Toolbar (in Layout mode, of course). You also have access to them via the Insert menu, but you should avoid accessing them this way because you cannot control their location or size.
