Description:

This script step enables the user to create a new database file in FileMaker Pro’s usual Create New File dialog box. If the Use Manage Database Dialog to Create Files preference is selected, the user is also taken to the Manage Database dialog. When the Manage Database dialog is closed, the file is open in Form View of the first table created. When this preference is not selected, the new file is displayed in Table View.

When the calling script contains additional steps, the script resumes with the new file open but not active. However, when New File is the last step in the script, the new file is active when the script ends.
