8. Exporting Records
In This Chapter
In Chapter 5, “Importing Records,” you learned how to use FileMaker’s import function to load records into a database using data stored in other files. FileMaker provides a similar function that you can use to get data out of a FileMaker database, so that it can be used in other applications. That function is the export function.
In this chapter, you export data from your Contacts database to a file in a different format. If you don’t already have your Contacts database open, go ahead and open it now.
