Chapter 3 Managing the Nonprofit as a Public Corporation

All nonprofit organizations do not have the same privileges and basic legal operating rules. The publicly supported nonprofit is given the greatest amount of tax and other benefits. These organizations are exempt at two levels. Donors can deduct charitable contributions to them at the highest deduction rate available, and revenues from doing the organization’s mission are exempt from taxes.
