Getting ready for future crises, financially or otherwise
Think back to 2019, especially late in 2019.
You may have specific memories of where you were working, people you spent time with as well as times you traveled. Perhaps you remember gatherings for major holidays like Thanksgiving or Christmas near the end of 2019.
For the Thanksgiving holiday that year in late November, I remember picking up my son out of state and driving home with him. He had been sick the week prior and seemed to be getting better. Not long after we arrived home, I got sick, and I was sick for about the first half of December. I had a fever, was achy, and was at times low on energy and required more sleep. I had a dry cough and was frustrated with how long it was taking for me to get over it. It had been many years since I had been this sick. It felt like the flu, and I finally went to the doctor to have my lungs checked to make sure I wasn’t developing something more concerning like bronchitis, which thankfully I was not. When I was almost fully recovered, I remember attending a crowded holiday party. I had difficulty talking for any length of time and doing so made me cough.
