Everything Has a Deep Dream

by Rachel Naomi Remen

I’ve spent many years learninghow to fix life, only to discoverat the end of the daythat life is not broken.

There is a hidden seed of greater wholenessin everyone and everything. We serve life bestwhen we water itand befriend it.When we listen before we act.

In befriending life,we do not make things happenaccording to our own design. We uncover something that is already happening

in us and around us andcreate conditions that enable it.

Everything is moving toward its place of wholenessalways struggling against odds.

Everything has a deep dream of itself and its fulfillment.
