Despite everything you may have heard about progress toward gender equality in pay, women still generally earn less than men. According to an ongoing study by Payscale.com, looking at the median earnings of women versus men, women in 2020 make only 81 cents for every dollar men make.1 That’s a seven cent improvement since 2015, but clearly women still have a way to go.
