2D Production

 

 

 

When we talk about 2D production, we are talking about the tasks that occur after you are “done” in 3D. This primarily means compositing, but it may also mean a little bit of effects and “tweaking” in 2D. In Booty Call , the amount of work we had to do following rendering was very small. This was primarily due to the fact that we were able to create a light rig that allowed for standardized rendering. Our images were about 90 percent finished straight out of Maya. Still, there was work to do, and I’ll show you some of it here.
