Cloud computing has many similarities to outsourcing regarding how much problem-solving you have to do, understand, and/or be responsible for. But cloud computing is more complex than outsourcing. You may say, "Since our applications run "in the cloud" (or on someone else's computer, computers, or data-centers, via "software as a service" – SaaS), I don't have to worry about solving problems in my applications because someone else is hosting them."

Let's look at that statement further. Have you really offloaded problem-solving to that "vendor in the cloud"? Well, yes, but still you do care that the cloud organization is successful in solving problems.
