FD's Flickr Toys (http://www.flagrantdisregard.com/flickr/) are a great collection of online apps that will convert your Flickr photographs into all kinds of cool stuff, such as movie posters and magazine covers.

FD, who goes by the name John Watson in real life, currently offers 14 toys, with new ones on the way. The current list features the following:

Badge Maker

FD's first toy to achieve wide popularity allows you to make your own unofficial Flickr ID badge, suitable for laminating, as shown in Figure 7-4. This has become a popular meme on Flickr, and it's a good way to identify yourself in public to other Flickrites. Don't be seen without your badge.

Billboard

Put your photo on a freeway billboard, or at least on a photo of a freeway billboard.

Feature your photo in a monthly calendar, suitable for hanging in the garage or planning important events, such as cleaning the garage.

Upload your photos to Flickr using a Konfabulator widget (this is a different widget than the one discussed in [Hack #5] ). Konfabulator, available at http://www.konfabulator.com, is a cool tool for filling your desktop with gadgets and gewgaws.
