It’s hard to be objective about Entity SQL: most people either love it or hate it. (I confess, I mostly fall in the later camp.) But before we move on, give some thoughts to the pros and cons of this method of querying an EDM. Here are a few. Can you think of others?

Entity SQL only works with the ObjectContext API.

But

It works in any development language, not just the languages that support LINQ.

Because Entity SQL expressions are strings, it doesn’t provide Intellisense support.

But

They support parameters using standard SQL syntax and a pattern that will be familiar to classic ADO.NET programmers.
