Abstract

This chapter presents an introduction to hydrate types and properties along with a full description regarding thermodynamic conditions for hydrate formation. Moreover, this chapter provides a thorough explanation regarding calculation of hydrate formation condition via empirical correlations, iterative method (K-value), and equations of state.
