Caching and File Sizes
To calculate the uncompressed file size of an image, you multiply the image height by the width, and then multiply that result by the number of color channels in the image:
Note: The last variable (number of color channels) is typically three (RGB) or four (RGBA), depending on if you have an embedded alpha channel in the image or not.
