Occasionally, when we look through a batch of photos, there will be some perfect five-star shots that hold their own straight from the camera, without having to do anything more to them. This doesn’t mean that all the rest should be cast off as hopeless, of course. All those images with crooked horizons, lackluster colors, over- and underexposure, poor lighting, and so many other ailments need not end up in the trash.
