Welcome Home Pineapple

During American colonial times in the early 1600s to the mid-1700s, the pineapple was the universal symbol for hospitality: It signified warmth, welcome, and friendship. Sculptures and paintings of pineapples popped up in homes, architecture, and art galleries during this time.
