Some population geneticists in the forensic eld argue that when calculating
the random match probability we know that the genotype prole developed
from the evidentiary sample exists somewhere in the world, and this should
be your assumption. is assumption will severely restrict the possible geno-
types to those currently seen in the human population of the world. is
calculation is called the conditional probability, and it boils down to what is
the probability that you would see this particular prole again given that you
