Onboarding

Onboarding is about welcoming new employees into your company culture and getting them up to speed so they can be productive as quickly as possible. Effective onboarding of new team members can drive productivity, accelerate learning, and improve talent retention.

Traditionally, onboarding has been treated as a one- or two-day orientation event rather than a process. New hires were passive participants where they received information on employee policies and procedures, signed lots of paperwork, and were (perhaps) given a tour and introduced to other employees.
