Hijackings and poor maintenance habits have the same consequences: disaster. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's tragic. Every once in a blue moon we'll hear about a commercial airplane that has crashed due to mechanical failure. Investigators immediately go to the crash site to get to work sifting through the wreckage looking for survivors but also for clues about why the tragedy occurred.
