Working with the DMX Language

If your business requirements call for custom client development using the data-mining API, you can begin to familiarize yourself with the DMX language by reviewing the supplied templates in SSMS. As with creating an SSAS query, you first connect to SSAS in SSMS, display the Template Explorer, and then click the DMX node to view and work with the included templates.
