MHz band and yet reject the associated sound only 0.5 MHz
higher—and the adjacent-channel sound 0.75 MHz lower. Not
infrequently receivers fail to do this, and the reproduced picture is
visibly disturbed by the sound signal.
Ignoring the quite considerable problems at the sending end, let us
now take a broad look at what a television receiver must include.
