GET FOUND ON SEARCH ENGINES

As mentioned earlier, the non-advertisement links that appear first on Google or any other major search engine are referred to as the organic results.

Having your website pages appear among the top few organic links that appear on Google can be a huge boost to the traffic that your website receives. While I don't ever rely solely on such positioning in my own businesses, or in the businesses of my clients, it is certainly beneficial to take advantage of the opportunity to achieve such a position using legitimate strategies.

Here are some creative and legitimate ways to improve your site's rank on Google:

  • Leave legitimate blog comments on popular blogs related to your niche. As part of your useful and relevant comment be sure to include a link to your site. Most blog owners have a comment feature set up that includes a field where the commenting visitor can indicate the location of their website. This will all happen naturally as you follow the blogs of other experts and websites related to your niche.
  • Volunteer to be a guest blogger on sites where you have something useful to contribute. Include links to your site in the signature line of the articles.
  • Have a Facebook fan page or Twitter.com account and include links to your sites in your posts and in your bio.
  • Submit articles to popular article hosting sites or press release sites. Do a search on Google for “article distribution,” or “press release” for more information.
