Quick Start

The best way to learn things is to try them yourself. So in this chapter you will be building an example project one step at a time. To get the most from this chapter, start Fritzing and follow the steps involved in making this simple light-emitting diode (LED) flasher project.

The project that we are going to design uses a 555 timer chip to flash two LEDs. The design is an extremely common one. If you search Google images for “555 timer LED flasher,” you will find no end of similar designs.
