Chapter 5. Evaluate

Evaluation as we usually hear it discussed in training circles really means summative data—the training is over and it is time to assess and rethink. Did the training accomplish its objectives? Can learners perform as desired? As this book is organized according to the ADDIE model, it makes sense to include all the evaluation tools here. But don't overlook the opportunities for formative, as-you-go evaluation and piloting rather than wait to conduct an "evaluation by autopsy" after the fact.
