Who Are We Designing This For?—Personas/User Segments
The first principle of the Agile Manifesto is “Our highest priority is to satisfy the customer through early and continuous delivery of valuable software.” It is very hard to deliver valuable software if you don't know who you are developing it for and what they will find valuable.
When you left off from your workshop you should have ended up with some objectives. Those Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), are important to the process for a number of reasons, but at the moment they are important because they serve as a foundation for the next step.
It's time to put the U in UX. It's sad, but this step is often overlooked and skipped altogether. I realize people want to be nice and flexible and not hurt anyone's feelings by excluding some people from being able to say they are user experience designers, but that isn't helping anyone, and it is, in fact, hurting many businesses. I'm stating here unequivocally that if your process doesn't include defining your users, conducting research with participants that represent your target demographic, and using what you learn from that research to drive the decisions in your design process, then you are not conducting user-centered design.
