Lesson 3 Organization

In this lesson we’ll look at working in the Browser to organize your footage using FCP’s tools for working with metadata, the extra information attached to a piece a media that either comes from the camera itself or that you add to it.

Loading the Lesson

If you skipped directly to this lesson, first you’ll need to download the material from www.routledge.com/products/9781138209978 and use the eResources tab. For this lesson we’ll need the ZIP file called FCPX2.zip

• 1. Download the file and double-click the ZIP file to open it.
• 2. Drag the FCPX2 library to your dedicated media drive .
• 3. Double-click the library to launch the application if it’s not already open.
