The semantic search in life sciences

For researchers and scientists, Web 3.0 technologies are mainly visible in the form of semantic technologies embedded into biomedical databases. In this chapter, we explore how the famous Medline can be searched through alternative smart interfaces, and how a semantic approach changes the search experience. PubMed offers a rich and popular search engine for Medline and yet its interface seems not to be very user-friendly.
