sure are used for the nish pass. The accuracy obtained by lapping depends
on the method and time of lapping, initial accuracy of workpiece, kinetic
and geometric accuracy of the lap, etc. Generally, the attainable dimensional
accuracy lies in the range of ±0.5 μm. Similarly, a high quality of surface
nish is obtained by lapping depending on the initial roughness and con-
ditions of the lapping process. The lapped surface is usually matt with a
