By the end of this chapter, you will be able to:

Add a GameObject to the scene that interacts with the Unity Physics Engine.

Add a material and texture to a GameObject.

What game would be complete without boxes and crates? From breaking them open for wumpa fruit in Crash Bandicoot, to taking cover behind them in Half Life, and hiding underneath them in Metal Gear Solid, they’ve long been standard video game props.

In this chapter, we’ll use Crates to demonstrate adding interactive objects to the game world, and see how to apply textures and materials.
