in Unreal Technology
2.1 INTRO DUCTION AND OBJECTIVES
I
N this chapter we will go through the basic stages of level design to create our
first map in Unreal Engine 4 (UE4). We will not assume any familiarity with
any game engine or previous versions of the Unreal Engine. However, it is highly
recomme nded that you go over the basic User Interface (UI) of the U E4 to get basic
familiarity with the UI and simple object manipulations you can do in the main editor,
such as tr anslating, rotating, and scaling objects.
To build our first level, we will start by drawing out its geometry. We will utilize
