Book Week
Holding a book week is an exciting way to share and enthuse about books. The whole school can be involved, including parents, teaching assistants, the school office staff and the caretaker, as well as the children and teachers. Events can run for a whole week or be concentrated in one day. These events do need to be planned effectively but are worth the effort as the children are directly engaged in a wide variety of language-based activities.
