Introduction

As discussed in Chapter 1, visual aids and interactive teaching techniques are essential methods of supporting EAL learners because they visually and physically interpret what can otherwise be difficult to comprehend. An EAL child is more likely to develop CALP skills if they are involved in discussion alongside kinaesthetic and visual learning. The activities in this chapter build on this premise and provide you with ideas on how to improve learning in a variety of subjects.
