General Twenty-First-Century Educational Advocacy, Theory, and Skill Sets
There are a number of recent books discussing the critical skill sets of the twenty-first century. One can get a good introduction by surveying the following works:
- H. Gardner, Five Minds for the Future, Boston: Harvard Business Press, 2008
- D. Pink, A Whole New Mind, New York: Riverhead Books, 2005.
- T. Wagner, The Global Achievement Gap, New York: Basic Books, 2008.
Gardner is the well known author of the theory of multiple intelligences and approaches these issues from a cognitive perspective, while Pink and Wagner’s approaches are more from a business/entrepreneurial angle.
