Gender equality in financial services cannot be considered in isolation. Nor will equality be achieved by asking the industry to be responsible for making all the change. Support structures around women and organisations need to change. The predisposing measures for bringing about change require involving policy makers and addressing family support structures. This feels reasonable because the positive impacts of gender equality are not limited to improving business performance and the lives of women.
