Whatever your view of the organizational future, key to long-term organizational success is some degree of loyalty. But, according to the fashionable pundits and some research, corporate loyalty is dead. Today's employees are loyal to no-one but themselves.

Typically, research by the outplacement consultancy Sanders and Sidney suggests that current working practices have all but destroyed employee loyalty towards their employers.[] It also highlights a disturbing lack of awareness among companies about the scale of the loss.
