5.1 Introduction
As a Generative Analyst, you need to be an excellent communicator. Skills in UML or other analysis techniques are useless if you can’t get the information you need to construct your models. Similarly, your models are useless if you don’t have the communication skills to communicate them to the relevant parties. You can only achieve these goals through learning effective communication, and this is what this chapter is about.
Generative Analysis requires a very specific, structured, approach to communication which may be quite different to that which you already have. These special patterns of communication are one of the major themes of this book.
