Chapter 13. The Catalog subsystem
13.1 Introduction
In this chapter we’re going to look at the OLAS Catalog subsystem that is right at the heart of the system. Once we have established how the catalogs are handled can go on to describe how loans are handled, and that’s it—the analysis for the core OLAS functionality will be completed.
As we analyze the Catalog subsystem, we will see that, because of the differences between the Normal and Restricted Collections, it needs to be decomposed into a NormalCatalog subsystem and a RestrictedCatalog subsystem.
